Cell Phones = Distracted Drivers = Accident Injury

It goes without saying that distracted driving is a major cause of serious accident injuries on California roadways. Assembly Bill 1785, effective January 1, 2017, prohibits all drivers from holding their cell phone while operating a motor vehicle. You can make a single tap or swipe of the phone screen, but only if the phone is properly mounted or fixed to the vehicle. This is yet another law to assist in deterring distracted driving. Distracted driving causes injury not only to occupants within your vehicle, but endangers all motorists as well. Please drive responsibly to avoid personal injuries to yourself and others.
