
Tracey A. Werner is a partner in the firm with a practice emphasis in civil litigation. Ms. Werner graduated from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo with a major in History and a minor in Law and Society. She participated in the Cal Poly Mock Trial team and was a member of the Phi Alpha Theta Academic Honors Fraternity and the Sigma Kappa Sorority. Ms. Werner earned her Juris Doctor from Cal Northern School of Law and graduated second in her class in May 2016. She was admitted to the California State Bar in June 2017. Before and during law school, Ms. Werner worked at an estate planning firm in Chico, CA. Following graduation from law school, Ms. Werner worked at a general practice firm in Red Bluff, CA. Her emphasis at that firm was in estate planning, family law, workers’ compensation law, and civil litigation involving both the prosecution and defense of contract, business, and real property disputes. Since joining Maire & Deedon in November 2017, Ms. Werner has worked almost exclusively in civil litigation with an emphasis on insurance defense, public entity tort liability, and defense of law enforcement.
Ms. Werner is a member of the State Bar of California, the Association of Defense Counsel of Northern California and Nevada, and DRI. Ms. Werner is a 2019 graduate of Leadership Redding and a graduate of the inaugural Redding Police Department Citizen Academy. She served as the President of the Shasta-Trinity Counties Bar Association from 2020-2022 and has been a member of the DRI Young Lawyer Steering Committee since 2022. Ms. Werner currently serves as a member of the Leadership Committee for DRI’s Government Liability Substantive Law Committee. Ms. Werner has also been awarded AVVO’s Clients’ Choice Award
