Sonja Dahl is an associate attorney at Maire and Deedon, who practiced law in the San Francisco Bay Area for almost thirty years as a litigator in the field of medical malpractice defense, with an emphasis on briefing complex issues in cases in state and federal trial and appellate courts throughout Northern California. In addition to working on a multitude of malpractice cases involving hospitals and healthcare providers, through the years Ms. Dahl has worked on matters as varied as civil rights-prison condition cases, a barge hitting the San Francisco Bay Bridge in the fog, complex litigation, and many of the early cases under the then-new federal EMTALA law. She recently took time off from the practice of law to spend a year studying Film and New Media at Bethel Conservatory of the Arts in Redding.

Ms. Dahl grew up in a small town in southwestern Wisconsin and graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a Bachelors degree in Theater Arts in 1984. She then travelled to San Francisco to attend Hastings College of the Law, graduating in 1987. She is a member of the California Bar and admitted in the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Eastern Districts of California and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
