Last Updated: October 6, 2026

These terms set out the ground rules for using maire-law.com. Please read them together with our Disclaimer and Privacy Policy.

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of www.maire-law.com (the “Site”), which is owned and operated by Maire, Powell & Werner, A Law Corporation (“the Firm,” “we,” or “us”). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. Informational Purpose Only

The Site provides general information about the Firm, its attorneys, and the areas of law in which it practices. Nothing on the Site is legal advice, and using the Site does not create an attorney-client relationship. Please read our Disclaimer, which is incorporated into these Terms.

2. Contact Form and Communications

The Site includes a contact form and the Firm’s telephone number and email address. You may use them to ask about the Firm’s services. Do not send confidential, privileged, or time-sensitive information through the Site or by email until the Firm has confirmed in writing that it represents you. Communications sent before that confirmation are not protected by the attorney-client privilege, and the Firm may decline representation for any reason, including a conflict of interest. The Firm is not responsible for any deadline missed because you contacted the Firm through the Site rather than retaining counsel.

3. Intellectual Property

The content of the Site, including text, graphics, logos, photographs, page design, and the Firm’s name and logo, is owned by the Firm or its licensors and is protected by United States and international copyright and trademark law. You may view, download, and print pages from the Site for your personal, non-commercial use, provided you keep all copyright and other proprietary notices intact. You may not otherwise reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, publicly display, or commercially exploit any content of the Site without the Firm’s prior written permission.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Site in any way that violates applicable law; to attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, its server, or any connected system; to introduce viruses or other harmful code; to use automated means to scrape or harvest content or contact information from the Site; or to submit false, misleading, abusive, or unlawful content through the contact form.

5. Third-Party Websites

The Site may link to websites operated by others. Those links are provided for convenience. The Firm does not control those sites and is not responsible for their content, accuracy, availability, or privacy practices. A link does not imply endorsement.

6. Privacy

Information collected through the Site is handled as described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. The Firm does not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Firm and its shareholders, attorneys, employees, and agents will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Site or its content, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising out of these Terms or your use of the Site will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Shasta County, California, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

10. Changes to These Terms

The Firm may revise these Terms at any time by posting an updated version on the Site. Your continued use of the Site after a revision is posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
